 Uploading documents just got easier.

With this release, we’ve simplified the document upload process.
Now adding documents to a project is as simple as click, drag, and drop

Other Enhancements

In addition to simplifying the document upload screen, we’ve added a number of other enhancements. Add up to 15 new metadata fields when uploading documents, adjust filter configurations, add time stamped due dates and more.

See below for a complete list of enhancements.

  • Easy upload
Add a single file, a zip file, or an entire directory to a project in just a few clicks.

  • Batch upload
Although many files can be added at once, each document is uploaded individually. If one document fails, the rest of the documents still upload successfully.

  • Custom filter configurations
Behind the scenes, Lingotek automatically selects the correct filter configuration for each document. Custom filter configurations can be applied to each document – as needed.

  • Edit document names
Click to edit the document title prior to upload.

  • Remove documents
As needed, remove individual documents from the upload list.

  • Add a category
Add a document category to make assignments easier to find in the linguist task list.

  • Add a due date and time
Project managers can now add both a due date and time to projects, documents and targets.

  • Preferred time zone
Add a preferred time zone to your user profile. If a time zone is not selected, the system defaults to US-Pacific time.

  • Time-zone aware
All dates and times displayed throughout the system are based on the user's preferred time zone. For example, if a California-based project manager sets a deadline of 5 pm US-Pacific time, a New York-based linguist would see the deadline as 8 pm US-Eastern time.

  • Full time stamp
All dates on projects, documents, targets and tasks now include a full time stamp (e.g. 05 Jan 2017, 12:00 pm) - not just the date.

Additional Metadata

In addition to primary metadata (due date, due reason), project managers can apply 15 new metadata fields to uploaded documents. These fields allow project managers to add metadata such as author name, client, business unit and more.
