07-2015

We’re pleased to announce release 10.7. In this release, we've made significant enhancements to Lingotek’s speed and processing – including better performance of several processes in the translation management system. This includes a notable amount of code and data enhancements to support faster reporting, better load balancing, and more efficient availability of new translation memory.

Key Features

  • Lingotek’s job scheduler now has greater capacity – allowing faster processing for larger jobs.
  • Large actions – such as bulk assignments – now run more efficiently.
  • Experience faster loading for large TM vaults.
  • Newly created translation memory is available more quickly.
  • We’ve increased Lingotek project list sizes, allowing for Excel downloads of extremely large project lists.
  • We’ve added a “Last Uploaded” column to the Project Status Report, showing when each document was last uploaded to the TMS.
  • We’ve enhanced translation memory fuzzy matching to better recognize capitalization and non-alpha penalties.
  • Match results now display correctly when running an analysis on two translation memory vaults.
  • Translation memory can now be leveraged from text contained within angle brackets.
  • The Move Translation Memory feature is now working properly.
  • We’ve enhanced our configurations to recognize a number of self-closing tags, allowing more segments to load properly into the Workbench and Document Viewer.
  • The Save button on the Document Upload page now works properly.
  • We fixed an issue that caused the workflow to stop if the TM Leverage report did not save properly. Now, automated workflow steps will continue to run even if the TM leverage report does not save.

Additionally, we’ve created a new API call and three new content management system connectors.

Inside Your CMS

Lingotek now offers three new connectors that fully integrate with standard, web-based content management systems. Using the connectors, you can easily and automatically build translated versions of web content. New connectors are available for

  • Adobe Experience Manager (CMS)
  • One2Edit (Collaborative editing tool for Adobe InDesign documents)
  • WordPress (CMS)

API Call

A new API call, cloneProject, has been designed to help large corporate customers manage translations for small updates to large bodies of content. This API call allows Lingotek to pull only new/updated content for translation, without sending unchanged content. This means smaller amounts of text will run through automated translation steps – such as TM Leverage and Machine Translation.

This places a lighter load on the database, significantly reducing the amount of time required to complete the translation overall.
