03-2015

Key Features

  • Quickly locate high-priority documents with the enhanced Select-All feature. Use the Select All option to bulk select documents within a project based on priority.

  • You can now use the back and forward buttons on your browser to navigate within the translation management system.

  • To help project managers get a better grasp of how much work is left on a project, we have added a new check box to the Analyze dialog. This check box, "Skip translations," gives the PM the option to exclude segments that have already been translated from being evaluated during the analysis.
Using this feature adds a new "Translated" row to the analysis report. It also has the added benefit of reducing the amount of time needed to run an analysis.

Other Features

  • To extend your reach to additional Spanish and English speakers, Lingotek now supports two new locales – “English, India” (en-in) and “Spanish, Latin America” (es-xl).

  • For consistency with industry nomenclature, we’ve updated all references to “Pre-fill TM” within the TMS to display as “Leverage TM.”

  • When exported via XLIFF, Syntax 100% matches in TM will now be marked as exact matches.

  • Fine-tuned reporting options help project managers quickly determine the number of formatting tags that are coming from Syntax 100% matches.
Next to the Tags to Apply (Total) column, a new column, Tags to Apply (Syntax 100%), displays in the TM Statistics report. This new column helps project managers quickly differentiate between the total number of format tags and the number of format tags drawn from Syntax 100% matches.

  • We have made it easier for customers with their own custom MT engine key to save their credentials within the Lingotek system.
  • For your convenience, segment notes added in the workbench can now be downloaded into a single Excel document. Notes can be compiled for the document(s) of your choice or for an entire project. To download a document’s segment notes,
  1. Click to open a project from your Dashboard.
  2. Check the box(es) next to the document(s) with the notes you would like to download.
  3. From the Documents bar, open the Actions: menu.
    1. Scroll down to Documents and select Download Segment Notes.
    2. The notes will be downloaded as a spread sheet.
    3. Enter a Report Name.
    4. Choose the Output Format (xlsx, csv).
  4. Click Download.
  5. Click to access the document from the Process Queue.

The downloaded spread sheet will list the note’s Document Name, Source text, Target text, Segment Number, text of the Segment Note, Author, and Date.

Automatic account creation is now available for Integrations

Now you can upload documents with API 5 without having to do multipart/form-data. Instead, use application/x-www-form-urlencoded where all of the parameters that used to be files are now just the file contents as strings.

API 5 now provides a way to apply inline formatting tags

  • The auto_format parameter has been added to API 5, giving users the ability to auto-apply inline formatting tags when requesting document translations (GET /document/).
