Spelling and Grammar

With Enterprise’s Spelling and Grammar tool, you can check segments for spelling and grammatical errors as you translate them in the Workbench app. The glossaries in the system are also updated to account for new terminology.

Manual Checks

Errors are usually dotted with a line. This line can be in two different colors: green and red. Green lines indicate grammar errors while Red lines indicate spelling errors.

To check segments manually, follow these steps:

  1. In the Workbench app, click Tools, and then click Check Spelling and Grammar

  2. On the flagged parts of a segment, do any of the following:

    1. Type a correction

    2. Select a correction from the translation memory (TM).

    3. Add the flagged item to the system dictionary

    4. Ignore the correction.

You can save a segment in the Workbench app even if the system detected spelling or grammar issues. This way, you can ignore false positives and continue with your translation work. Matching terms are not marked as spelling or grammar errors.

Automated Checks

With the Check Spelling & Grammar When Approving feature, the system automatically checks spelling and grammar accuracy while you are working.

To use this feature, click the hamburger menu in the upper-left corner and then click Edit. When the options appear, click the Check Spelling & Grammar When Approving option.

You can ignore any errors you determine are false positives.
