Spelling & Grammar Checks

With Enterprise's Spelling & Grammar tool, check segments for errors – manually or automatically.

Manual Checks

To run a manual check on the current segment,

1. Open a segment in the workbench.
   
   

2. Go to the Tools menu and select Check Spelling & Grammar.
   
   

   Any errors are flagged with a dotted line

   • Green: grammatical errors
   • Red: spelling errors

   
   

3. Click a flagged item and choose whether to repair or ignore the issue:
   1. Type in a correction,
   2. Select a correction,
   3. Add the item to the /wiki/spaces/DDOC/pages/65896523, or
   4. Ignore the rule.
      
      

 Check Segments Automatically

For faster review, enable Check Spelling & Grammar When Approving.

As the linguist saves each segment, the workbench checks for errors and prompts the linguist to correct them.

To enable automatic spelling and grammar checks,

1. Open the workbench.
   
   
2. Open the Edit menu and select Check Spelling & Grammar When Approving.
    
3. Click Enable. 
   
   
   1.   As you save each segment, the workbench flags any errors it finds.
      
4. The linguist clicks each flagged item and chooses whether to:
   1. Type a correction.
   2. Select a correction.
   3. Add the item to the /wiki/spaces/DDOC/pages/65896523.
   4. Ignore the rule.
