Glossary Settings

The glossary creator can perform the following setup procedures for the Glossary feature in the TMS.

Rename a Glossary

To rename a glossary, follow these steps:

  1. Click the Project Resources from the sidebar, and then click Glossaries.

  2. On the Glossaries page, select the glossary you want to rename, and then click the Settings tab.

  3. Click the Edit option.

  4. In the Glossary Name box, type a new name.

  5. Click Save.
The new name appears at the tip of the glossary.

Share a glossary

To share a glossary with other members of your community, follow these steps:

By default, the creator of a glossary is the only person that can access it. However, if desired, a glossary owner can share their glossary with other Lingotek users. These Shared Users will be able to search and manage all entries within the glossary.

  1. Click the Project Resources from the sidebar, and then click Glossaries.

  2. On the Glossaries page, select the glossary you want to rename, and then click the Settings tab.

  3. Click the Edit option.

  4. In the Settings section, select the Yes option for the Allow linguists to modify glossary entries in the Workbench parameter to allow linguists to create glossary entries from the workbench. The glossary must also be available for linguists in the project’s resource for linguists to access.

  5. In the Shared Users section, type the name of the groups or individuals that you want to share the managing and access rights with.

Once a user or a user group is added, the change is saved automatically. This user will be able to log in and view the glossary.

To remove a group or user from a glossary, click the X option next to their name.
