We are happy to announce that version 11.9.28 of the Lingotek™ Translation Management System was released today, including a number of enhancements. 
 

  • The TMS can now import files that mix monolingual and multilingual content.
    In this release, we’ve added the ability to import a file containing both monolingual and multilingual content (including multilingual XLIFF 2.0 and PO files).

  • We’ve added the ability to lock multilingual segments.
    If a file with multilingual content is uploaded to Lingotek, Lingotek locks the existing translations (so they cannot be edited by a linguist). Then, using the workflow, these segments can be propagated to other workflow phases.

  • We’ve added additional segmentation capabilities.
    For highly technical or creative content (where a degree of transcreation is needed), it may be desirable to segment on a paragraph (rather than a sentence). We’ve added the ability to turn segmentation on or off for XLIFF files via the FPRM filter. Additionally, we’ve added the option to turn segmentation on/off for a specific segment ID.
