Install FAQs (Oracle)

How to do I configure which sites, asset types, and attributes within your asset types, will be used with Enterprise?
This is configured in the Enterprise WEM app. See section Enterprise CTP Integration Installation in this guide for information.

When sending an asset to Enterprise for translation, does the WebCenter Sites integration allow you to pick an Enterprise project? Does it allow you to pick from a list of workflows or does it just adopt the workflow that is attached to the project?
Yes, the WebCenter Sites integration lets you pick a project. The integration works based on 1 workflow per project, no workflow overrides. So we typically set up sample projects with names like Machine Translation Only, Machine Translation with Manual Review, Pre-fill Translation Memory with Professional Review. So we can send data up in either workflow and it should be fine. We can also manually sync content that is not even at the end of the Enterprise workflow in case content reviewers want to see how translations are progressing (but the Enterprise workflow will send a formal notification to Sites when the translation is truly ready).

For ongoing translation, when the content is changed on the WebCenter Sites side, does it automatically update Enterprise with the new content?

No, this is not automatic. The asset must be sent back to Enterprise for translation. This can be done by finishing a workflow assignment using a workflow step that calls the send updates for translation step action, or simply by pressing the sync button.
When it sends the revision to Enterprise, does it update the existing document in Enterprise or does it upload a new document?
It is not automatic, but there is a WebCenter Sites step that we add that sends docs to Enterprise as updates for translation. It does not create new document in Enterprise. It updates the existing one.

I am not sure how to setup the notification part of the Enterprise workflows. When a workflow reaches a point of completion, how does WebCenter Sites know that Enterprise is finished with translation?
Enterprise Inside Sites checks to see if the translation target on Enterprise has been marked as complete in the Enterprise workflow. If it has, the translation is updated on Sites.

If the workflow has not been flagged as complete, but the asset has completed all stages of its workflow, then the asset is synced to Sites anyway. That said, we have a sync now button in WebCenter Sites that retrieves the asset from Enterprise no matter how far along it is in translation. But that is just for inspection, not part of a formal process.

Is this a manual effort? Will have to go into WebCenter Sites and select an option to pull down the translated content from Enterprise?
No it is automated - see above.

Which workflow step should I choose when moving an asset in Sites through a workflow?
Enterprise Inside Sites includes two workflow step actions, and they are both configured in the default workflow in Sites. The first one is called Send for Translation. The second is called Send Updates for Translation. The Send for Translation step action exists to allow users to send a new asset to Enterprise that has not been sent to it before. It is also used to request an additional translation for an asset that has already been sent to Enterprise.

The Send Updates for Translation step action exists to allow users to send content edits to the source document up to Enterprise. Enterprise will then ensure that only the modifications to the source document are processed for translation, preventing duplicated effort re-translating content that is already done.

It is best to use these step actions for theses purposes. However if you make a mistake and select the wrong one, Enterprise Inside Sites can compensate for the error in most cases. If there is any confusion while using the integration, please let us know.
