Source Statuses

It is important to understand the status of your content in Enterprise so you know what actions to take/not take while they are in that status.

Untracked

Content in this state is not associated with any document in the Enterprise TMS. This could mean that it has never been uploaded or it has recently been cancelled or deleted.

A source in this state can be uploaded into the TMS.

Importing

The content is in the process of importing into the Enterprise TMS.

Wait until the source content has completed its importing process. You can refresh the tile to see if it has completed the importing process.

Current

The source has completed importing to the TMS.

You can now request translations for this source content.

Edited

Source content that has been edited after being uploaded into the TMS.

Select the source tile and choose to Re-upload Source. This updates the source document in the TMS without losing the work that translators have already done. The document will reference the current Translation Profile to determine the new document's project, workflow, and filters.

Note: When re-uploading the source, you cannot select a new translation profile. It will use the profile that was selected when the source was originally uploaded.

Error

The content failed as it was being uploaded into the TMS. This is most likely due to the file being an invalid file format.

Select the source tile and select View Error. Resolve the issue it indicates if there is one. Ensure that the source code of your document is valid. If the source code has been fixed, try the Re-upload action. If that doesn't work (or you have ensured the source code was valid) then clear the cache and Delete All Translations. Then upload the source again. If that still does not work, reach out to support@lingotek.com.

Gone

The document no longer exists in the TMS.

  • This could be because it was deleted or archived.

  • Hovering over the tile will show you if it was deleted or archived, and what its status was when it was removed from the TMS.

  • The relationships between the source document and its translations in your application are maintained

From this status you can still select View to see the content in your app. For any additional translations, you need to reupload the source as a new document.

Canceled

If you have decided you no longer want your content to be translated you can cancel the document. The document and targets will stay in the “Canceled” status until the document is re-uploaded. This cannot be undone.

If you want that translation in the future, you will need to re-upload the source.

Here are the actions that can be taken on a cancelled document:

  • Upload to Enterprise as a brand new document.

  • View the translation

None

This translation does not exist on its corresponding source document. That could mean that it has never been requested or it has been deleted.

Request the translation.

Ready

The translations are ready to be requested.

You can select the translations you would like to be requested for translation.

Pending

The translation has been requested and has not gotten to a point in the workflow where it can be downloaded. If you are doing strictly Machine Translation, it should not be in this state for long. If you are doing human translation, it will likely be ready to download by the SLA you have set with your translation provider.

If you believe the pending status is incorrect, you can refresh the associated content. Or if you no longer want this content to be translated you can Cancel Translation. This cannot be undone.

Ready to Download

Your content has completed the translation process and is ready to be downloaded. You will only see this if you have your translation profile set to download manually.

Select the translation and select Download.

Current

The translation has been downloaded successfully.

Select the translation and View

Canceled

If you have decided you no longer want your content to be translated in a certain source you can cancel a particular translation.

If you want that translation in the future, you will need to cancel the entire document and all associated targets and re-upload the source document. This will create a completely new document.

Ready Interim

Interim translations are available to download.

Download the translations.

Your organization configured the workflow to send these translations at a specific point in the workflow.

These interim translations will be overwritten when the completed translation is ready to download.

To learn more about interim translations see our callback documentation.

Interim Complete

Translated content has been downloaded successfully before the workflow has been completed.

Simply wait for the completed translations to be ready for download.

Downloading

Your content is in the process of downloading.

Error

The translation failed to import or download.

You can try to Re-download if it failed to download or delete the translation and request it again if it failed to upload. If you cannot resolve the translation then you should reach out to support@lingotek.com.

  • This could be because it was deleted or its document was archived.

  • Hovering over the tile will show you if it was deleted or archived, and what its status was when it was removed from the TMS.
