Overview

Use the Add Phase action to add a single workflow phase to the document(s) of your choice.Image Removedend of your workflow. You can add phases to one or more targets from the document and target lists.

Choose to add an additional human Translate phase, Review phase, or a Custom phase.

Custom phases can be used to track any additional QA step needed for a particular document (e.g. desktop layout confirmation, legal review, or financial approval).

  • You cannot add a second translation phase to a workflow or after any review phases.

  • You cannot add a new phase with a name that matches an existing phase. 

  • The new phase will be appended to the end of the document's existing workflow.

Adding The Phase

To Add a Phase to a document,targets in your selected documents:

  1. Click to open a project from your

    Dashboard

    Projects menu.

  2. Select the box(es) for the document(s) requiring a new phase.

  3. From the Documents bar, scroll to the Actions: menu

    Select the Document List Actions.

  4. Type and

    scroll to

    select Add Phase.

  5. Complete the dialog (instructions below) and click Add Phase to save your work.

(tick) Tip: This will add a new phase for each target language listed on the current document.

(info) Note: Add Phase does not affect the overarching workflow of the project as a whole; it only affects the documents you select.
  1. The system will start a new process that you can monitor in the process queue.

  2. Open the process details when it completes to review:

    1. The number of targets affected

    2. How many successfully received the phase

    3. How many did not receive the phase, and why

Complete the Dialog

Use the options in the dialog to customize the phase to fit your document.

Add a phase name and description, choose assignment settings, and optionally add phase rules.

  1. In the open dialog, scroll select the desired options (descriptions

    Choose your new phase settings and rules (see below).

  2. Enter a phase name, description, due date, reason for modification, and add any Rules.

  3. When you are ready, click Add Phase to save your work.

Phases manually added to complete workflows will automatically be put into an active status so you don’t have to manually add them.
