Overview

The With the Approve All  feature allows a linguist to Segments feature, you can approve all eligible segments at once quickly. You can approve all segments from the Workbench or within the TMS on the Documents tab or Task List. 

Approve All Explanation 

The "Approve All" feature only pulls translations from the phase immediately before the current phase and saves them. The Approve All action will NOT pull translations from any phase except the phase immediately before the current phase. 

Workbench

  1. Open the document in the workbench.

  2. Open your menu.

  3. Select Edit > Approve All Segments.

  4. Click Approve All to confirm.

    1. Optionally you may update TM and Auto-Apply tags. We do not recommend either of these options:

      1. TM will be updated by fuzzy matches and machine translation, whether or not a linguist has reviewed them. 

      2. The system will apply all unapplied tags. Linguists should review tags and place them accurately. 

Task List

  1. Open the Task List and select all desired tasks or bulk select all tasks.

  2. Select Approve All Segments.

  3. A confirmation dialog will appear.

Using the Approve All Segment feature

The Approve All Segments feature takes the most current translation it can find and saves it to your phase if the previous phase is complete. If the previous phase is not complete, you can only approve segments that are completed in the previous phase unless the previous phase is complete. Unsaved translations or edits in your phase are saved by the Approve All option.

The system automatically checks the segment and phase settings to determine whether or not to save the translation to the translation memory (TM).

Project Management

Task List

To use Approve All Segments in Tasks, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Tasks page, and then select all applicable tasks whose segments you want to approve.

  2. Click the hamburger symbol in the column headings to open the BULK ACTION list, and then select the Approve All Segments options.

  3. When the confirmation window appears, enter the following:

    • Targets - Enter the preferred target locales, if there are any.

    • Phases - Enter the applicable phase where the approved segments will proceed to.

  4. Click Approve All.

Document Tabs

To use Approve All Segments in Documents, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Documents page of your preferred project.

  2. Select all the applicable documents whose segments you want to approve.

  3. From the Actions list in the Documents section, select the Approve All Segments option.

  4. When the confirmation window appears, enter the following:

    • Targets - Enter the preferred target locales, if there are any.

    • Phases - Enter the applicable phase where the approved segments will proceed to.

  5. Click Approve All.

Workbench

To use Approve All Segments in Workbench, follow these steps:

  1. Open a document in Workbench.

  2. Enter the translation of the segment in the translation column, and then press Alt + A to approve all segments.

  3. When the confirmation window appears, enter the following:

    • Targets - Enter the preferred target locales, if there are any.

    • Phases - Enter the applicable phase where the approved segments will proceed to.

  4. Click Approve All to confirm.
