We are pleased to announce that version 15.4.0 of the Lingotek Translation Management System was released today.
Project Management
- Vendors can create teams in their organization and copy those teams in client organizations they have relationships with. Changes to the original team can be pushed to the copies.
Task List
- Linguists can bulk select tasks and download a rolled-up report of TM statistics to help them plan workload and maintain personal logs of completed work.
- We have added the following search and management features to the TM units page:
- Searching by multiple language pairs. Each language pair displays the number of TM units in the selected vaults.
- Case-sensitive searching.
- Sort search results by vault, created date, last modified date, source, target, source text, or target text in ascending or descending order.
- Filter results to view flagged TM units.
Bulk replace the searched word, phrase, or segment with new text in the source or target TM.
Replacing text in bulk has the potential to remove format tags in the edited TM.
- Searching by multiple language pairs. Each language pair displays the number of TM units in the selected vaults.
- We have added the Edit bulk action to the TM units page which will allow you to change the source, target, or flagged status of the selected TM units.
- The "Exact Phrase" search returns the expected results when punctuation or symbols are included at the end of the phrase.
Translation Memory
- TM search results have been enhanced to always place reviewed TM above unreviewed TM when there is a match of the same percentage.
Document Import
- The system default importer version for DITA files has been changed to m38.
- INDD files that were created with InDesign 15 import as expected.
Intelligent Workflows
The duration assigned to a phase can be adjusted based on the source word count of the document.
This functionality is only available if you are using the fixed hours automation method.
- We have removed the option to trigger setting due dates upon the completion of a phase.
- The automation method can be set for each due date configuration.
- Two new addressee variables have been added to workflow email notifications. Choosing to send email notifications to the Author Email or Contact Email will send emails to the email address in the Author Email and Contact Email fields if they are populated with valid email addresses.
New Workbench (Beta)
- Concordance searches can be performed on the target text as well as the source text.
- Source text will be searched by default if you perform a concordance search on text highlighted in the source segment. Target text will be searched by default if you perform a concordance search on the target text.
- We have added a toggle under the concordance search settings that will allow you to switch between searching target and source text.
- The concordance search can be case sensitive if desired.
- Segment note authors can tag other users, teams, and project managers (project owners and shared users) in the segment note.
- When the segment note is saved, tagged users will receive an email with the note and information about the associated document, target, and phase.
- The respond button in the email will take the user to the Workbench with the note highlighted so users can quickly respond.
In-Context Translation
- With the new Beta Lingotek Workbench Extension installed (see installation instructions here), source URLs can be loaded in the context viewer the same way as the old Legacy In-Context Workbench.
Resolved Issues
- Compatibility issues with the Vietnamese keyboard.
- Filtering by tags did not work as expected on very large documents.
- Characters overlapped on right to left languages.
- Saving the last segment on a page did not navigate you to the next page.
- When filters were enabled without any selected filters work was not getting saved.
- When fonts were increased to a certain size the cursor would jump to the previous line.
- If a user quickly switched between tasks during the Approve All action it was possible for segments from the previous task to be saved on the new task. Users are now prevented from switching tasks before segments are saved.
- Terminology concept definitions and custom attributes weren't displaying in glossary results.
- Marking a task complete from the Workbench's task list would mark the task open in the editor complete (if it was ready to be completed) rather than the selected task in the task list.
- Zooming in with your browser would make text in the segment editor appear blurry.
- We have changed our font color to increase the contrast for easier viewing.
Vendor Management
- The rate charts page is searchable by client.
- Hourly rates can use word count to provide clients with a quote. The Amount column on the document and target list will display the quoted costs until they are overwritten with the actual billable hours.
- When creating a cost and invoice report, you can filter by multiple projects.
- Quoted Hours has been added as a column to the cost, invoice, and linguist reports so clients and LSPs can compare the automated quote to actual billable hours.
- The Phase Hours column has been renamed to Billable Hours for clarity.
- Phases and Targets only displayed translation costs in the amount column in the Project Management application. They have been updated to show translation costs and PM fees as well as provide a break down when you hover over them with your cursor.
Marketplace
- Users can now lock content from accepting any further callbacks to prevent accidental changes from affecting production content. You can lock and unlock content in bulk, individually, or use a setting in the Marketplace application to automatically lock all content as soon as it is completed.
- Selecting the Request Translations bulk action now opens the Add Targets modal where you can select all the targets you want to add to your selected content.
- We have removed the Request All Translations action and the Add Targets and New Document modal have been given a Select All option next to the targets drop-down.
- If for whatever reason the source has not completed uploading after a certain amount of time, the upload process will timeout and display the error status. Users then have the option to re-upload that source content.
- The Delete action in the integration will only delete content from your cloud service (Eloqua, Marketo, etc) and will cancel the associated content in the TMS.
Confluence
- The source URL sent to the TMS has been updated to enable in-context translation with the new workbench.
Zendesk
- Translated content will be created in Zendesk as published or draft based on the state of the source content when it was submitted for translation.
- The source URL sent to the TMS has been updated to enable in-context translation with the new workbench.
Eloqua
- We have added logic that adds an additional change to the name of translated content if there happens to be content with the same name that already exists in Eloqua. This can occur if there have been translations from a previous LSP in the past.
Marketo
- All Marketo content now loads as expected without needing to first clear the cache.
