We are pleased to announce that version 14.16.0 of the Lingotek Translation Management System was released today.

Document Archive

With this release, we have added the ability to archive completed documents. Archived documents will be removed from the Documents list and the record of that document, and its Target versions, will be found in the new Archive tab in the Project. Archiving completed documents keeps the Documents list focused on the active documents, improves performance when loading a Project, and preserves the ability to view and download completed Target versions, reference material, finalized files, and a TMX. Archiving completed documents can be done automatically after a specified period of time, or manually.

Archiving entails the following:

• Completed documents can be automatically archived, based on your Community's setup. 
• Project Owners can manually schedule documents to be archived. This can be done using the Archive action in the Documents list, or the Document Summary actions.
• A new Archive tab has been added to the Project Summary page.
  • Within this tab you can search for archived documents using various filters. 
  • Selecting an archived document within this tab will show you detailed information about the document as well its targets and phases.

• Archived documents are still available for download, including options to download:
  
  • Original format:
    • Source
    • Target(s)
  • Filters
  • Finalized
  • TMX
  • Reference Materials
  • 
• When a document is archived, its information will be removed from the following applications and will only be accessible in the Archive tab of a project:
  • Project - The Documents list will no longer show the archived document. It will only be accessible under the Archive tab. None of the reports will list that document or its targets or phases once it has been archived. 
  • Portal - The document listed in the job will be removed. 
  • Vendor - Cost information. 
  • Quality - Quality scores.
• The Universal Search has also been enhanced to allow you to search for archived documents.

• TM generated from Archived documents WILL not be removed. It will remain in the TM Vault that it was saved to during translation.
