Configuring Settings (Drupal 8/9/10)

To configure your default Enterprise settings, go to the Drupal management menu and select Manage > Translations > Settings.

Note

Many configuration settings allow you to manage translation profiles.

A translation profile tells Enterprise how to send source content to translation, and how to publish once translations are complete. Enterprise’s TMS has two default translation profiles, Automatic and Manual.

  • Automatic – Choose Automatic when you want to send content to and from Enterprise automatically.

Automatic Upload - When new content is added to Drupal, it is sent to Enterprise automatically (and translations are requested automatically).

Automatic Download - As soon as translations are complete, they are published to Drupal automatically.

  • Manual – Choose Manual when you want to send content to and from Enterprise manually.

Manual Upload - When new content is added to Drupal, the user must request translations manually.

Manual Download - When translations are complete, the user must manually publish the desired pages to Drupal.

Below is a basic overview of each translation setting available from the Enterprise Settings tab.

  • Account – Update your account settings – such as your default Enterprise project, workflow, etc.

  • Content Entities – Choose which content to translate, and whether to load it to Enterprise manually or automatically.

  • Configuration Types – Choose which translation profile to apply to each type of content.

  • Translation Profiles – Add your own custom translation profiles.

  • Preferences – Choose default settings for your site’s multi-lingual features.

  • Logging and Utilities – Resources and tools for technicians
