We are pleased to announce that version 14.9.0 of the Lingotek Translation Management System was released today.

In this release, we have significantly enhanced our Translation Memory capabilities. This release provides a new simple and powerful experience when searching and managing TM units. It also includes a massive upgrade to the systems powering Translation Memory, which will enable more exciting enhancements in the future.

Searching TM Units

• The vault selection experience has been changed to a searchable drop-down. You can optionally select all vaults or clear out all vaults you currently have selected. 
  
  
  
  
• The Date Created date range has been renamed to Date Modified, allowing you to search for TM units that were last modified in the selected range.
• Searching by source and target has been replaced with searching by language pairs. The language pairs available in the search are filtered by which language pairs are present in the selected vaults. You can choose to search by language or full locale.
  
  
  
  
• We have added a new Search Method option when filtering TM unit results. You can search by "whole segment", "exact phrase", or "any word."
  • Whole Segment - The entire TM unit must match the search text exactly to be returned as a result. 
  • Exact Phrase - The TM unit must contain a phrase that matches the search text exactly to be included in the search results. 
  • Any Word - The TM unit only has to contain one word of the entered search text to be returned as a result. 
• You can choose to search within the source or target of a TM unit. In the past users could only search against the source text.
• The Search Results table has also been updated with the following:
  • The "Text Modified" column has been renamed to "Last Modified."
  • Both the “Source Locale” and  "Target Locale" columns have been added.
  • The Details column at the end of the row has been replaced by a More menu where users can choose to edit the tm unit, view details, or delete the TM unit. 
  • Inline tags are now displayed and can be modified, in the TM units in the search results.
    
    
    
    
• With the addition of inline tags in the Search Results, users can also choose the level of detail about the tags in the search results.
  
  

Editing TM Units

• You can edit TM units by double-clicking the unit or by selecting edit under the More menu.
• If a user has tags hidden and makes changes that would delete a tag, they will be notified and given the option to view tags before saving the changes. 
  
  

TM Units within the Workbench

• The full locale is displayed next to the source and target. 
• The last modified section also shows the user who last modified the TM Unit. 
• You have the option to flag the TM unit as an incorrect translation. This flag will appear in the TM units page.
