Spelling and Grammar Checks

With Lingotek’s Spelling & Grammar tool, check segments for errors.

Manual Checks

To manually check a segment for grammatical and spelling mistakes open the Tools menu and select Check Spelling & Grammar.

Any errors are flagged with a dotted line

  • Green: grammatical errors
  • Red: spelling errors
Click a flagged item and choose whether to repair or ignore the issue:
  • Type in a correction
  • Select a correction
  • Add the item to the /wiki/spaces/DDOC/pages/65896523

    • Ignore the rule

    Note

    Segments cannot be saved until all errors are resolved.

    Automated Checks 

    For faster review, enable Check Spelling & Grammar When Approving. 

    Open the Edit menu and select Check Spelling & Grammar When Approving.
  • As the linguist saves each segment, the workbench checks for errors and prompts the linguist to correct them.
