This is overview of the different Statuses available in the TMS. The status of a document, target and phase will trigger different responses in the workflow and interactions between applications in the TMS. Used properly, they enable automation and powerful functionality in integrations. 

Status Types

ReadyActive

The document is ready if:

  • The phase has not progressed past the pre-translation steps (Leverage TM and Machine Translation).

The target is considered ready if:

  • The document has first been uploaded into the Project app AND its phases have not begun.
  • OR the target has not been tagged with an inactive status.
The first phase in the
workflow's status is ready if it has not been worked on or it is not one of the inactive phases. The other phases are ready if the previous phase in the workflow is completed and they have not been marked with an inactive phase. 

A phase is considered ready if:

  • It is the first phase in a target that has just started or if the phase prior is complete.
  • It has not been tagged with an inactive status.
In ProgressActive

The document is in progress if:

  • The pre-translation steps have been completed.
  • Work has begun on human steps (Translation, review).
  • The document has not been tagged with inactive phases. 

Targets are in progress if:

  • Any of their phases are in progress.
  • Or if some of their phases are complete.
  • The target has not been tagged wit an inactive status

A phase is considered in progress if:

  • It's progress is greater than 0%.
  • It has not been tagged with an inactive status.
At RiskActive

The document is at risk if:

  • The workflow has not been completed for all targets.
  • The Document Due Date is approaching.
  • The document has not been marked with an inactive status. 

Targets are at risk if:

  • Any of their phases are incomplete and the due date is approaching.
  • They have not been tagged with an inactive status. 

A phase is at risk if:

  • It has not been marked complete and the due date is approaching.
  • I has not been tagged with an inactive status.
Past DueActive

The document is Past Due if:

  • One or all targets have not completed their workflows and the document has passed the Document Due Date.
  • The Document has not been tagged with an inactive status. 

Targets are past due if:

  • Some or all of their phases have not completed the workflow and it has passed the Target Due Date.
  • The target has not been tagged with an inactive status. 

A phase is past due if:

  • It has not been marked complete and the phase due date has passed.
  • The phase has not been tagged with an inactive status.

A phase is waiting if:

  • The phases prior are still in progress.
  • The phase has not been tagged with an inactive status.

A phase can be skipped if:

  • It is not in an inactive state.
  • If the phase has not started.
CancelledInactive

A document can be cancelled if:

  • It is not in an inactive state.
  • If the phase has begun, it can still be cancelled.

A target can be cancelled if:

  • It is not in an inactive state.
  • If the phase has begun, it can still be cancelled.

A phase can be cancelled if:

  • It is not in an inactive state.
  • If the phase has begun, it can still be cancelled.
CompletedInactive

A document is completed if:

  • All targets in the document have completed the workflow before the due date.

A target is completed if:

  • All phases within the target have been completed before the due date. 

A phase is complete if:

  • The phase has reached 100% status and has been marked complete.
LateInactive

A document is late if:

  • All of the targets are completed, but one or more targets were completed after the due date.

Targerts are marked late if:

  • All of their phases have been completed, but were not completed before the target one or more of the phases were completed after the due date.

A phase is late if:

  • It has been completed after the due date.
